How Can a Chiropractor Help Me After My Car Accident?

Chiropractors are able to treat injuries associated with car  accidents. Many times, individuals who have been injured in a car accident experience such intense muscle pain and stiffness that they simply cannot function normally. When left untreated, this discomfort can be a serious issue.

After an accident, some individuals experience indicators of whiplash injuries right away, such as neck pain, back pain,  blurred vision, dizziness, headaches, shoulder pain, numbness and tingling to the arms and legs, reduced range of motion and sleep disturbance to name a few symptoms.

Treating pain or whiplash should never be secondary to bringing your car at the mechanic or working with your insurance company. If you’ve had a car accident margate recently, your first priority should be taking the initiative to visit your Margate Chiropractor!

Personal Injury Margate

injury

Dr. Milner is a Margate chiropractor with 15 years experience in the Personal Injury field helping thousands of  injury patients.  He has performed plaintiff and insurance independent medical exams (IME's) and is aware of the many types of different injuries that exist from trauma.  Dr. Milner has experience in depositions and as an expert witness in court on numerous cases where he has been successful.

In our practice, special imaging orders are made when necessary for diagnostic studies such as MRI, EMG/NCV, CT scans, bone scans, specific stress-view X-Rays in flexion and extension positions and they will be ordered in a timely fashion when necessary.  Digital X-Rays are performed inside our office and done when necessary.  It is  important to have objective evidence of injury to help get the correct diagnosis, prognosis and an effective treatment plan.

All our records are stored in our advanced electronic software called Chiro-Touch.  The doctors in the office do a thorough consultation and evaluation to be diligent in documenting all and any injuries present.  Electronic medical record requests turn around time is 24-48 hours.

It is also of importance for us to get a medical second opinion for the patients.  Necessary specialist referrals and triaging  will be made to the teams of neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, pain management specialists, orthopedic surgeons and any other physicians that is needed to care  for the patient.

Our office treats all of our patients the way we would like our family treated.  This means a warm, loving, friendly and caring atmosphere where we will work with them to determine the best treatment options.  This is a top priority in our office.

If you find yourself in a personal injury accident, schedule a consultation with a margate chiropractor, as you may have underlying issues that we can help diagnose, manage and treat.

CRMA Testing

CRMA stands for Computerized Radiographic Mensuration Analysis.  This testing is crucial in the personal injury arena and is performed at our clinic.   It is an advanced x-ray measurement methodology that allows board certified medical radiologists to accurately measure abnormal intersegmental motion patterns that are resultant from injury to the spinal ligaments.  Diagnosing ligament laxity injuries and AOMSI (alteration of motion segment integrity) findings is something we take time to do when indicated.  There are 220 specialized ligaments in the human spine, 23 of which are discs. If we have a disc derangement or disc herniation, that’s an injury finding that is picked up on MRI.  We can also have excessive motion, which is the most problematic ligament injury there is.  That imaging biomarker is picked up on standard stress radiology which we perform with digital X-rays in our office in a  flexion and extension position.   There are normal, abnormal, and seriously abnormal movement ranges for an intervertebral body,  that are consistent with what is left behind with a spinal ligament injury.  This can be objectively measured digitally and documented which results in serious impairment findings with potential of future accelerated early spinal degeneration.  Call us today to let us evaluate your spine for this serious connective tissue injury.

Car Accident Injury

Possibly shocking to you, there are about 13 car accidents in the U.S. every minute. That is a lot of people who are potentially getting injured. At Margate Chiropractic Health Center, serving Margate, FL, and the nearby region, Dr. Jayson Milner and Dr. Meir Cioraru believe these individuals deserve natural treatment and relief of their pain.

Types of Car Accident Injuries

During a car accident, a number of injuries can arise. For instance, you may have pain as a result of stress on your back. It's possible to suffer from whiplash - a neck strain - after a rear-end collision. Arm, leg, and head injuries are also possible.

Providing Relief

Whether we're your first stop after an accident or you already saw a medical doctor, we're here to help. If you didn't already receive a diagnosis, our practitioner can examine you thoroughly. We'll ask about your symptoms and if there's anything that worsens them, such as movement. We'll also take a look at your medical history to see if you could have exacerbated a previous injury or surgery.

You'll then receive a customized treatment approach for your specific situation. This may consist of regular chiropractic adjustments. These treatments consist of you lying on an exam table, and our practitioner realigning your spine using gentle thrusts. It not only eases pressure on the nearby nerves and soft tissue, but it also enhances circulation - allowing more nutrients to reach the injured area, which ultimately promotes healing.

Part of your treatment may include therapeutic exercise. For this treatment, our practitioner will guide you through exercises that gently stretch the muscles and other soft tissue in the area. The exercises will gradually increase in difficulty to continually enhance your flexion and function. We may use this treatment as the main part of your recovery or as a way to enhance your treatment plan or prepare you for another treatment.

Heat therapy is another treatment we use for a car accident injury. If you have sore muscles and soft tissue, our practitioner may apply heat to the area. The purpose is to encourage blood flow. It also helps to loosen muscles.

We should note that these are merely some of the treatments we offer and we can provide more detailed information about them on the basis of a particular patient’s condition.

At Margate Chiropractic Health Center, serving Margate, FL, and the neighboring communities, Dr. Milner and Dr. Cioraru supply treatment for a car accident injury. The treatment you receive is all-natural, and we tailor the plan for you.
